Bomb-diggity Banana Bread

I was reading The Small Things Blog where she shared this totally delicious and fail-proof recipe for banana bread. And because I totally trust Kate (and am slightly addicted to banana bread) I whipped it up in all of 15 minutes. 


I have a recipe tucked away where I use applesauce and no refined sugar, since it’s a little healthier, but I really wanted to test out a recipe without sugar to see if there was a difference (which there wasn’t, mind you). Anyway! Trust me, this recipe is definitely a keeper. I used almost black banana’s and cooked about 15 minutes extra (cooking time can depend on your oven).Recipe below 👇🏽


1 cup sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar

2 eggs, beaten well

2 cups flour

1 tsp vanilla

4 tbsp milk

1 tsp baking soda

3 ripe bananas, smashed

1 stick melted butter



Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Cream together the sugars and egg. Add flour, vanilla, milk, baking soda, and mix well! Mix in bananas and finally the melted butter.

Bake 40 minutes or until done (test with toothpick).
