I love when it snows here because I got the prettiest views from my makeup counter! Straying from the weekly makeup tutorial and getting right into the products everryyy girl boss needs to own. Seriously! These products are at the top of my list and used almost daily (does that make me a girl boss?).
1- Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz
Believe it or not, I still have people commenting on my posts/telling me that they haven’t started filling in their brows as part of their makeup routine. This actually shocks me since it’s such an easy product and makes a huge difference! The brow wiz from ABH is my all-time favorite brow pencil. It fills and defines, comes in 20+ shades and is under $25. I’ve been using it for 6-7 months and have never gone back to another brow product. Although very occasionally I will use the ABH dip brow, but it doesn’t create the natural effect (I preview the brow wiz over it!). If you want more details on those precious brows, check out this post where I talk alllll about brows.
2- Mac Cosmetics Lipstick in Ruby Woo
Every girl boss needs to own a red lip. One of the most popular red lipsticks in the makeup world is Mac Cosmetic’s ‘Ruby Woo’. It’s a bright, poppy red and is one of my favorite lipstick shades. If you want to, you can grab their lip pencil which helps with filling in your lips! Besides my favorite nude lip, Ruby Woo makes a frequent appearance in my makeup routine. If you do go with a red lip for your makeup, keep the rest of your face simple (nothing too bold on the eyes!) so that all focus is one that bright red 🙂
3- Nivea Men’s After Shave Balm
I swear by this after-shave balm as a makeup primer. I know it might sound a little strange, but it works great! Before I was using a primer from Marc Jacobs and I actually prefer this balm over the more expensive primers I’ve tested out. It’s really thin so you don’t need to much (which makes it last forever) and it’s only about $5. It does smell like men’s cologne, but the scent goes away after a few seconds.
4- Urban Decay Naked2 Basics Eyeshadow Palette
I am all for a neutral eyeshadow palette. This Urban Decay palette was one of my first Sephora purchases ever and it’s still in frequent use. There are 6 shades, all of them are really neutral and natural looking so it makes a great palette for a smokey eye.
5- itCosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer
Even though I’ve been using this concealer for a few weeks, I still won’t ever give up my itCosmetics concealer. I first heard about it from The Small Things Blog about 2 years ago and it’s been my favorite ever since. It’s extremely thick, so you only need a tiny tiny dot to cover a large area. It covers redness and zits like a boss 💪🏽
