Urban Decay Naked 3 Swatch + Review

I’m a huge fan of the Urban Decay Naked palettes. They’re definitely my go-to palette for so many reasons! I’ve been using them for about a year, but a few months ago I purchases the Naked 3 palette, and I’ve been using it almost every day. Keep reading for a full review, including swatches!

Naked, Naked 2, Naked 3, Nars blush (in Seduction), YSL Lipstick (13/Peach Passion), Chanel Lipstick (in Louise), Chanel powder,

Urban Decay stayed true to the previous Naked palettes, including same size and pretty similar font. The rose gold color is perfect for this palette, since it includes about 6 pink eyeshadows. It’s also ridged (is that right?) instead of a smooth box. It comes with a brush, but I see myself reaching for some of my other brushes (I have so many). I use a combination of brushes, depending on what I’m doing with the shadows (i.e., I’ll use a fluffy brush for all over my eyelid or a small tipped brush for the corner of my eye).

There are 12 different eye shadows in this palette, same as the rest of the Naked palettes. There are 9 shimmery shadows, 2 semi-shimmery shades (“Limit” and “Nooner”), and 1 matte shade (“Strange”). The matte shade I use for a base shadow, since it’s very light and brightens up my eye. All of the colors are ranging from light to dark and work wonderfully together.

For a rose, smokey eye, I’ll usually put use “Strange” as a base shadow and cover my entire lid with that. I then use “Burnout” and use that on half my lid (a little over my crease she goes). Right on the crease, I’ll use “Buzz”, for a little darker pink (it’s much pinker and darker on the lid). After that, I gently apply “Blackheart” at the outside of my eye. I’ll use more if I want it darker, and blend it in slightly. Finally, I use “Darkside” or “Liar” in the corner of my eye for some sparkle.

One of the most important parts of any eyeshadow palette, is how the quality of the eyeshadows are. These shadows blend so well, which makes for a smokey eye really easy. These shadows also look great on any skin tone and have the perfect amount of pigmentation. Win win for all eyeshadow users!

Thanks for reading lovelies! Have you guys tried this palette? What were your thoughts? Comment below your favorite eye shadow palette!

I am trying to decide between the Naked palette and the Lorac Pro 3, and I can’t decide which I’ll like better (I love my Lorac Pro 1!!)… I’m worried about the Naked palette not having enough matte shades.. do you ever find that to be a problem?

Hey Victoria! I prefer shimmery shades over matte, but there are a few matte shades on the Naked palette! The Lorac Pro 3 has more matte shades but the Naked palette has a better selection of shadows (you can create a gorgeous smokey eye with it!). I also mix and match palettes, so if I want a matte tan and Naked (1) doesn’t have it, I’ll grab a different palette (I have so many 😂). Hope this helped!
